Longueuil, July 9, 2009 – FLEXTHERM, a leader in floor heating systems based in Longueuil, is proud to announce that it received its ISO 9001:2008 certification following the audit conducted by Intertek from July 6 to 8.

Continuous improvement is a constant preoccupation at FLEXTHERM and the implementation of the ISO 9001:2008 standards will help the company sustain its growth and achieve long term objectives. According to Philippe Charron, President, “The discipline that we will gain with the processes established under the guidelines of the ISO 9001:2008 standards will allow us to increase customer satisfaction and stimulate growth to pursue our development into a world-class company that aims at being ranked among Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies.”

The process began in October 2008 and the certification was obtained in record time. “We obtained our certification in 10 months, while the average is 18 months. The entire FLEXTHERM team rallied itself behind this objective and demonstrated complete dedication to reaching it for the benefit of the company and its clients” declared Mohamed Chaouche, Director of Operations and Quality Assurance.

The ISO 9001:2008 certification is an additional guaranty for FLEXTHERM clients that each step of the production process and each service will consistently meet the company’s high quality standards. This is in addition to the certification of our products under CSA and UL norms, and the CE mark.

The audit and certification process was conducted by Intertek, a worldwide leader in quality and safety services with a network of over 23,000 employees and 1,000 laboratories and offices in over 100 countries around the world. Denis Patenaude, Lead Auditor of Intertek said that “Each member of the FLEXTHERM team showed great enthusiasm. The internal process leading up to the external certification audit was taken very seriously, resulting in a certification without any non-conformities.”
