How do I test a cable?

Use the FLEXTEST (link on flextest), an ohmmeter or a multimeter to measure the resistance between the two black wires. Record the results on the warranty card. The measurement should be similar to the resistance indicated on your cable label (± 5%). If the measurement differs from these parameters, contact the Customer Service Department (Link on page 3.0) for assistance.

Use a megohmmeter to verify the integrity of the cable’s insulation. If the cable is intact the reading will be “infinite”. If there is leakage between the heating element and the insulation, the reading will indicate a value lower than 250 MOhms. To repair this leakage, contact the Customer Service Department ( link on Contact).
