PERFECT FLEXIBILITY

FLEXTHERM floor heating systems can be easily and rapidly installed in any room, as part of a home, business or institutional project!

FLEXTHERM floor heating systems can serve as the primary or secondary heat source and be installed under most floor coverings: ceramic, natural stone, engineered wood, vinyl, parquet, floating floors, carpet and others.

Natural heat can be installed anywhere:

  • in your home: kitchen, bathroom, living room, bedroom, basement, solarium, garage, etc.
  • or in a commercial or institutional space: office, daycare center, clinic, hotel complex, residence for the elderly, warehouse, recreational vehicle, mobile studio, etc.

Since the entire system consists of a cable and thermostat kit, our floor heating systems require no maintenance.

And since these systems are invisible, running directly underneath your feet, you can let your imagination run free when arranging your furniture and decorating your rooms!

Some things to keep in mind:

  • Carefully plan the installation process. Be sure to choose the right cable length so that the entire heated area will be covered, decide where the thermostat will be installed and allow for changes of direction that will be necessary during installation.
  • Ensure that the cables are evenly spaced throughout the entire installation process in order to prevent temperature variations in the floor. The amount of spacing between the cables is determined by your chosen type of subfloor and floor covering.
  • Green CableTM products cannot be installed under fixed furniture or fixtures where air cannot circulate freely, such as bathtubs or toilets. Be sure to measure the heated area up to the toe-kick of the furniture and not its front. That way, your toes will stay warm!
  • The performance of floor heating systems is affected by several environmental variables, such as the insulation of the concrete slab and of the room in general.
  • When installing one of our systems in a bathroom, we always recommend spacing that allows 12 watts of power per square foot. Since bathrooms have a lot of obstacles (vanity, bathtub, shower, toilette, etc.), the heated floor surface is often small. Therefore, we recommend that you maximize the power of the system to create a comfortable environment. This type of installation is compatible with ceramic floor or natural stone floor coverings.
  • Solariums are often not as well insulated as other rooms because they have a lot of windows, which results in greater heat loss. A floor heating system will make it possible to keep your feet warm and heat most of the room, but a secondary heating system may be necessary to create a truly comfortable environment.
